Gap years

The phrase ‘gap year’ has traditionally meant a period of time out taken by students after leaving Sixth Form and before starting university. However, gap years can now be taken by anyone, at any stage, for varying amounts of time. It can be a wonderful opportunity to earn money, gain work experience, and / or life experience. Students planning on taking a gap year before university are encouraged to apply in Year 13 for deferred entry in the first instance, but we also help KTS graduates applying for university once they’ve left the Sixth Form following your gap year.
